WWE will also give us updates on the Money In The Bank ladder matches. We could also see an injured WWE Superstar returning and a return from Stephanie McMahon.
#5 Jason Jordan returns from injury
Jason Jordan has been out since February, getting surgery on his neck. Rumors suggest that Jordan could finally be ready for a return.
Could Jordan make his return to WWE as soon as tonight on RAW? Jordan’s former tag-team partner Chad Gable is now on RAW and I personally hope WWE get American Alpha back together again.
#4 WWE announce 3 Money In The Bank ladder matches
This year’s Money In The Bank PPV will be co-branded, unlike last year where it was a SmackDown PPV. Early rumors suggest that WWE could announce 3 MITB ladder matches - RAW men’s, SD men’s and a cross-brand women’s match.
#3 Brock Lesnar actually shows up
The rumor mill suggests that Brock Lesnar will not be on RAW tonight, something that the WWE Universe has sadly had to get used to. However, with Roman beating Joe last night and seemingly poised to challenge for the Universal Championship again, could WWE throw us a curveball and have Brock show up tonight to set up his next match with Reigns?
This storyline has already gotten pretty stale and WWE needs to come up with something big to keep up rapidly waning fan interest.
#2 Stephanie McMahon returns
Stephanie McMahon hasn’t shown her face on RAW since the night after WrestleMania where Ronda Rousey attacked Stephanie McMahon’s arm once again. Since then Stephanie has given instructions to Kurt Angle via the phone on occasion.
With Backlash now behind us, it could finally be time for Stephanie to return to RAW with Ronda Rousey in her crosshair.
#1 Finn Balor turns heel
No matter what he’s tried, Finn Balor hasn’t been able to get the batter of Seth Rollins when the Intercontinental Championship was on the line. After his loss in the Fatal-4-Way at the Greatest Royal Rumble and his loss once again last week on RAW, Balor may be thinking of what he needs to do to win.
Could this finally lead to the Finn Balor heel turn we’ve been waiting for? If it does, he won’t have the Good Brothers with him this time.

title: “5 Surprises That Can Happen On Raw Tonight” ShowToc: true date: “2022-12-23” author: “Dennis Sanchez”
What can we expect from the RAW after the Greatest Royal Rumble? Let’s check out some possible surprises.
5: Finn Balor turns heel
The Intercontinental title fatal-4-way ladder match at the Greatest Royal Rumble was one of the matches of the night. The incredible finish saw Finn Balor seconds away from the Intercontinental title belt when Seth Rollins sprung from the top rope right onto the ladder, to grab and retain his title.
Balor must be frustrated at this point and for someone who’s been a babyface for his entire WWE run, we could finally be seeing a heel turn from the leader of Balor Club.
4: Joe destroys Roman ahead of Backlash
To be fair, this one is one of the lesser surprises on this list. Roman was unlucky again as he Speared Lesnar out of the steel cage thereby losing the match after Brock’s feet (apparently) hit the ground first.
Can Joe show up on RAW and compound Roman’s misery ahead of their match at Backlash which Roman is almost certain to win.
3: Authors of Pain go after Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy’s partnership has gotten off to a wonderful start as the duo unsurprisingly beat The Bar at the Greatest Royal Rumble.
What’s next for the ‘Woken Ones’?
They could have one of the biggest heel tag teams in WWE right now come after them - the Author’s of Paid. Can Wyatt and Hardy overcome this obstacle or is it a bridge too far?
2: Elias attacks Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley made his return on the RAW after WrestleMania, attacking Bobby Lashley and hitting him with the delayed vertical suplex.
Elias hasn’t exactly taken his revenge on Lashley yet, but as we already know, Elias isn’t the kind to let something go.
Could Elias break his guitar on Bobby Lashley’s head tonight?
1: Strowman announces he’s going after the WWE Universal Championship
Braun Strowman will make his victorious return to RAW later tonight after winning the biggest Royal Rumble match in history. Strowman will be looking forward to the next step in his WWE career and with Roman losing to Brock Lesnar again, it could very well be Braun Strowman’s turn to set his sights on the least defended title belt on the main roster right now.
